Everyone should aim to visit Europe at least once in their lives, and you should too if you don’t already. It’s full of natural beauty, magic, and wonder – all the more reason to visit! It has some of the world’s most amazing landscapes, people, and experiences to explore. Trying to decide on places to travel there can be difficult, so we’re going to help you with a list of some of the most amazing places you can visit. Enjoy!
This gorgeous city in Switzerland is well worth a visit. You’ll notice that it doesn’t seem to be getting any more modern, which is a good thing – it’s kind of trapped in time, with spring everywhere and untouched fountains. It’s a popular area for skiing if you enjoy that, and isn’t just a great place by Europe’s standards, but the whole world!
The Greek Islands
I couldn’t possibly list all of the fantastic Greek islands here. There are so many places to visit in Greece, with the spectacular cliffs, beaches, and bright blue sea. There’s way more to do than simply sunbathe, so make sure you’re ready to explore!
The Italian Riviera
This is one of the most beautiful places you’ll ever visit. The Cinque Terre is a gorgeous national park, connecting 5 lovely villages together. There are walking routes that connect the villages and follow the coastline, so it’s your chance to take some amazing hikes through the lush, green hills. The villages aren’t affected by tourism either, but still have some world class Italian restaurants and hotels. The Italians are friendly and the scenery is to die for. You can visit Adventure World for Europe tours if you’d like to visit the Italian Riviera as well as other great places in Europe.
A lovely little town, found across the lake from an Austrian train station. You can find the world’s oldest salt mine here, as well as plenty of glorious spots to fish and float serenely up the river on a boat. The perfect place to relax and chill out before moving on to bigger cities.
Another Italian reason, but it’s earned it’s way on the list by being absolutely beautiful. The culture is vast and intense, while the architecture is divine. Visit the historical center of Florence, the Cathedral of Pisa, and all of the other wonders that Tuscany has to offer. The nature reserves are amazing, and the wine is particularly famous!
For many of us, London is right on our doorstep – but have you ever been? You can’t possibly run out of things to do in London, and is one of the most amazing places to go in Europe. There are a number of restaurants and cafes to enjoy, as well as shopping opportunities, the theatre, and more. The tube is a wonderful (sometimes frustrating) experience in itself!
Of course there are many more reasons to visit Europe; Paris, Rome, Venice, amongst many other great places! If you’ve got unquenchable wanderlust, then start with Europe before moving further afield. Have fun!
